As an amateur, Harper competed in only 17 fights, which resulted in three national titles and a silver medal at the European Junior Championships in Poland. She quickly launched herself onto the professional scene on November 25, 2017, at Doncaster by winning her first fight by decision. In 2019, Terri Harper won her first title by capturing the WBC International Regional Lightweight belt. Later that year, she moved down a weight class to win her first world championship at super featherweight, the vacant IBO title! The following year, this young English fighter added the WBC title to her collection after defeating long-time defending champion Eva Wahlström. With her victory over Wahlström, Harper becomes the second British woman, after Nicola Adams, to hold a world championship belt from one of English boxing's major organizations. In October 2021, Harper was ranked the second best active female super featherweight in the world by The Ring and fourth by BoxRec.
